Life can throw hard days at anyone. Maybe your fridge is empty, or you just need someone to talk to. Whatever it is, you don’t have to face it alone. Christian Resource Center (CRC) in Cedar Park offers free community resources to help families get back on solid ground, and everyone is welcome, no matter your background or beliefs.
This guide walks you through the free resources for families available through CRC, how to get connected, and where to turn if you need something beyond what’s on our campus.
What Are Free Community Resources?
Free community resources are services offered at no cost to people who need extra support. They can include things like food, clothing, job training, or counseling. The goal is simple: to help families and individuals through a hard season without adding financial stress on top of it.
At CRC, free community resources aren’t just a list of phone numbers. They come with a real person who listens, helps you figure out your next step, and follows up to make sure you got what you needed.

Community Resources We Can Connect You To
Sometimes a need goes beyond what’s available on our campus. When that happens, CRC doesn’t just hand you a phone number and wish you luck. Our team personally connects you to trusted partners and checks back in to make sure the connection worked. These community resources include:
- Affordable and transitional housing
- Government benefits enrollment (SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP)
- Homeless navigation and shelter resources
- Veterans support services
- Free transportation for seniors
- Financial assistance and emergency aid
- Mental health and clinical counseling
Our Referral Partners page lists the organizations we work with most closely.
If you need help with rent or utility bills, reach out to your home church about their Benevolence Fund. You can also contact Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Veterans and active military can also connect with the Heroes Resource Center. If you need a ride within Cedar Park city limits, LiNK Cedar Park offers free transportation.
Free Community Resources Beyond CRC
We’re proud to be one piece of the puzzle, but there are other statewide and national free community resources worth knowing about too:
- 211 Texas — a free helpline that connects Texans with local resources for food, housing, healthcare, and more, day or night.
- Texas Health and Human Services — information on applying for SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP, and other financial assistance programs.
- USA.gov Benefits Finder — a federal tool that helps you find government benefits you may qualify for.
These sites are great starting points if you’re looking for support outside the Cedar Park area, or if you simply want to explore every option available to you.
